Dental Products: Daichan Series
The Daichan series allows you to complete working models by attaching impression models to the base (Daichan) with dowel pins and simply separating them. Compared to conventional methods, it reduces the time to create detachable models to one-third, resulting in significant time and cost savings.

Usage Instructions
<Daichan, Daichan II, Daichan Full Arch, Daichan Full Arch L>
- Smooth the base of the dental model with a trimmer. Ensure the base is flat to avoid detachment during adhesion.
- Mark the areas where you will insert the saw with lines.
- Check the position of the “”abutment teeth”” and the pins before setup. If the pins are not visible, use the anti-rotation groove as a guide.
- Apply a thin, even layer of gel-type instant adhesive (Daichan Bond) to the base of the model.
- Attach the model to the Daichan, aligning the pin positions.
- Solidify any excess adhesive with an accelerator.
- Confirm that the adhesive has cured and then separate the model using a saw to complete the process.
<Pla Daichan F>
- Smooth the base of the dental model with a trimmer to ensure the base is flat and avoid detachment during adhesion.
- Confirm the base is flat and trim the model to fit the Pla Daichan F.
- Apply a thin, even layer of gel-type instant adhesive (Daichan Bond) to the base of the model.
- Attach the model to the Pla Daichan F, aligning the pin positions.
- Solidify any excess adhesive with an accelerator.
- Confirm the adhesive has cured, then separate the model using a saw, and tap lightly with a mallet to remove the base.
-
- What is the difference between Daichan and Daichan II?Open
-
The number and spacing of dowel pins are different.
Daichan has 5 evenly spaced pins suitable for single crowns.
Daichan II has 6 pins with narrower spacing in the center, suitable for bridges, and includes with wings for articulator mounting.
-
- What is the difference between Daichan Full Arch and Full Arch L?Open
-
Both have 14 dowel pins.
Daichan Full Arch L has a larger plate, which is increasing applicable cases, and uses double-sided cut pins for improved anti-rotation effect and workability.
-
- How to handle cases where the impression model detaches from the Daichan?Open
-
Main causes and solutions
- Insufficient adhesive: Apply a thin, even layer of adhesive across the entire surface to ensure proper bonding.
- Uneven base surface: Smooth the base using a trimmer.
- Excessive heat from steamer: Keep the steam nozzle at least 3cm
away.
Avoid direct contact with the pin holes to prevent heat damage. - To further enhance adhesion, use a carbide bur to create grooves on the impression model for better adhesive contact.
-
- Are there double pin types available?Open
- No, only single pin types are available.
-
- What brand of instant adhesive is recommended?Open
-
We recommend using Daichan Bond.
If using other brands, select a gel-type adhesive with medium viscosity.
-
- Is Pla Daichan F entirely made of resin?Open
- Only the plate part is made of resin, while the base part is made of gypsum.
-
- What is the difference between Daichan Full Arch and Pla Daichan F?Open
-
Daichan Full Arch uses dowel pins.
Pla Daichan F does not use metal dowel pins, making adhesion and separation easier.
The top plate is made of special resin, while the base is made of gypsum.
-
- Can the plate and base of Pla Daichan F be separated before use?Open
-
They cannot be separated before use.
After attaching the impression model, separate it by tapping the plate with a mallet.
-
- Does burring occur during separation of Pla Daichan F’s plate?Open
-
The resin used in the plate has high cuttability, reducing the
likelihood of
burring.
If burring occurs, remove it with an art knife.
-
- Any precautions during the separation of Pla Daichan F?Open
-
When separating the plate from the base, lightly and slowly tap the
lingual/palatal
surface of the base while checking for lifting.
Although the base is made of die stone it may break if struck too forcefully at a single point.
-
- What color is the content of Daichan Bond?Open
- It is colorless and transparent.
-
- How should Daichan Bond be stored? What is its shelf life?Open
-
Store in a cool, dark place.
After opening, close the cap tightly and use within one month.
We recommend using within two years of purchase, even if unopened.
-
- Is Daichan Bond available in sizes other than 20g?Open
- No, it is only available in 20g.
-
- Is the nozzle for Daichan Bond sold separately?Open
- No, it is not sold separately.
-
- Can Daichan Bond be used with other model bases?Open
- Yes, it can be used with other model bases.
-
- Do excess adhesive needs to be wiped off after adhesion?Open
-
It is not necessary to remove excess adhesive if it does not
interfere with
subsequent operations.
In fact, excess adhesive can enhance adhesion strength.
However, applying too much may delay the accelerator’s effect on the adhesive surface.
-
- Does the dryness or moisture of the model affect adhesion?Open
-
It does not significantly affect adhesion strength.
However, if excessively wet, the adhesive’s penetration into the gypsum may be reduced, lowering initial adhesion strength.
-
- How long should I wait after adhesion before starting separation work?Open
-
The adhesive will harden in 15 minutes using an accelerator.
Its strength increases as it dries, mainly due to the gypsum’s increasing strength.
